We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that Nagela Dales and Anosh Gill have joined Diversify by Design’s Advisory Council. Nagela and Anosh have been making waves across the design industry for years and we can’t wait to tell you more about them!

First up, we’d like to introduce you to Nagela Dales.

Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Nagela is the Founder and Creative Pilot of OPENHOUSE, a pioneering firm that’s married design, research, strategic thinking and traditional wisdom to transform business.

Utilizing liberatory design and the principles of design justice, Nagela guides start-ups as well as established organizations in creating products and business lines that are equitable, accessible, and fun.

Nagela and her team create safe spaces for folks to experiment with equity-focused models and operate under the premise that self-determination and agency are the essentials of inclusive design. Her work, which involves collaborations with universities, non-profits, and large enterprises, focuses on ethical design practices and applying theoretical principles in practical settings.

She envisions the future of business as a place where the ability to innovate is equitable and accessible; where business transactions are more than financial exchanges but embody reciprocity, sustainability, and opportunities for solidarity.

We see you Nagela.

A total Brooklyn gal and not one to miss a good time out, Nagela is a true culturista and can often be sighted at the local Caribbean market or taking in a flick at one of the borough’s chic dine-in movie theaters. That, and her glasses rock, right!?!

Up next, please meet Anosh Gill.

Anosh earned his B.S. in Industrial and Product Design from Ohio State University and went on to receive an M.F.A. in Media Design from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

Acclaimed creative director and educator with over 25 years of international design experience, Anosh is also a published author and international speaker. He’s provided design services for hundreds of clients, including municipalities, government agencies, travel destinations, and educational organizations. And his vast portfolio of work has earned over 100 awards in advertising, design, and illustration.

For the last ten years, Anosh has served as the Division Director of Graphic Communications at Florida A&M University, where his students have won over 400 design awards during his tenure. Most recently, he’s revised the department’s graphics curriculum and is adding a new UX major in the Fall of 2025.

And the cherry on top? He has been approved for research as a Fulbright Scholar!

A true renaissance man, at his heart Anosh believes, first and foremost, designers are communicators. He chooses to find beauty in all things big and small, from other artists’ work to the intricate and often delicate artistry found in nature. Very cool.

We’re exceptionally delighted to have the unique talents of both Nagela and Anosh contributing to DxD’s mission to right-side the design industry…to help create the change we want to see for the future of design.

Welcome aboard!
