We are delighted to introduce you to  K.C. Fabiero, DxD’s new Education Program Manager.

K.C. is an education consultant committed to lifelong learning, purpose-driven work, and social justice.

As a first-generation college student and biracial woman of color, K.C. has a personal understanding of how a young person’s life trajectory can shift based on their education and access to opportunities and resources.

After obtaining her Master’s degree in 2008, she started her 16-year career in education, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, and Principal. These experiences have not only deepened her understanding of schools but also a desire to serve and advocate for underserved and historically marginalized communities, especially within education.

Throughout her career, K.C. has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of equitable education for all and representation in postsecondary institutions. And now she’s taking that commitment to DxD.

K.C. will be heading up two of DxD’s signature programs, Design= and DxD Intensives. Both Design= and Intensives were developed to bridge gaps in design education—from exposure to design and its potential career paths, to leveling the playing field in higher ed for historically excluded design students.

Right out of the gate, K.C. will be leading the way to expanding the reach of the Design= Curriculum Kit, both to educators and their students. Simultaneously, she’ll be focusing on increasing corporate engagement with DxD’s Intensives program to bring state-of-the-art design challenges, networking opportunities and potential internships to design students at MSIs and HBCUs.

DxD couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fit to lead DxD’s education programming and we can’t wait to share K.C.’s successes with the greater DxD community. So stay tuned. As always, there is so much more to come.

Welcome aboard K.C.!
